1450-ORG Race Support and Volunteer Positions
Without volunteer involvement, 1450-ORG would not exist. Here is what you can do to get involved:
Become a Member
Direct Donations
Donate equipment (or use of equipment) for pit support.
Donate food, drink, prizes, and logistical help for contingency and race events.

Contingency Support
At each 1450-ORG event, 1450-ORG will host a booth during contingency. The 1450-ORG booth will have representatives available to distribute information, register racers,
and answer questions about 1450-ORG. 1450-ORG T shirts and stickers will be available during this time based on availability.
Contingency Rep(s) (2)
This position is responsible for the set up and take-down of the contingency booth. The Contingency rep(s) will talk directly with racers and will register racers that wish
to become part of 1450-ORG if necessary. Contingency Rep(s) are also responsible for verifying that each race vehicle has the proper 1450-ORG race series decals.
Pit Support
At each 1450-ORG Event, 1450-ORG will host a “Main”, and “Remote” pit to give race support for 1450-ORG member/racers. Each pit will be manned by volunteers and/or 1450-ORG
members. Safety in the pits will be of highest importance and unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.
Volunteers will be provided food and drinks during the race and will also receive a free 1450-ORG T-shirt and possibly more for each event.
Main Pit
The Main pit will be located near the Start/Finish line at each event. Main pit will have the following 1450-ORG racer support:

Radio and antenna for 1450-ORG member race communications
Welder and Generator
Fuel - supplied by racers
Spare Tires - supplied by racers
Spare Parts - supplied by racers
Fire Extinguisher
Spare Fluids
Tools
Drinking water and food
First Aid
Remote Pit
The Remote pit will be located at the furthest designated pit location from Start/Finish at each event. The Remote pit will have the following 1450-ORG racer support:

Main Pit Personnel
Pit Captain (1)
This person is responsible for Main and Remote pit activities. This person is responsible for making sure there are enough Main and Remote pit resources to properly
support all 1450-ORG racers. This person will also be responsible for setting up the Main and Remote pit before each event including Sponsor(s) Banners.
Main Pit Crew Chief (1)
This person will be in charge of “hot” Main pit activities. The Crew Chief is responsible for leading a pit crew during the race. The Crew Chief will designate crew
members accordingly and be responsible for “pitting” race vehicles during the race which includes; Fueling, Race vehicle repairs, precautionary checks, and racer
assistance. The Crew chief will also be responsible for maintaining radio communication in the event a “Main Pit Radio Operator” is not available.
Main Pit Crew (Min 4)
The Main Pit Crew works as a team under the guidance of the Main Pit Crew Chief. The Main Pit Crew is responsible for; fueling race vehicles, race vehicle repairs,
race vehicle precautionary checks, and racer assistance during the race for 1450-ORG race vehicles and members.
Radio Operator (Main Pit) (1)
This person is responsible for radio communication between the Main pit and 1450-ORG race vehicles, 1450-ORG Chase vehicles, Remote Pit, and the race organizer.
This person is expected to maintain radio communication throughout the race and keep track of 1450-ORG race vehicles. This person will also be responsible for
race updates during the race via the main pit white board.
Designated Chase Crew (2x2)
The Chase Crew will be responsible for on-course race vehicle support and/ or repairs. The Chase crew will also assist in the recovery of 1450-ORG race vehicles if necessary.
Remote Pit and Chase Personnel
Remote Pit Crew Chief (1)
This person will be in charge of “hot” Remote pit activities. The Crew Chief is responsible for leading a Remote pit crew during the race. The Crew Chief will designate crew members

precautionary checks, and racer assistance during the race for 1450-ORG race vehicles and members.
Radio Operator (Remote Pit) (1)
This person is responsible for radio communication between the Remote pit and 1450-ORG race vehicles, 1450-ORG Chase vehicles, Main Pit, and race organizer. This person is expected
to maintain race vehicle split-times and necessary communication throughout the race.
Post Race Support
At the conclusion of each 1450-ORG event an awards presentation and prize raffle will be held in the 1450-ORG Main Pit area. The extent of the awards presentation and prize raffle
will be determined for each event.
Post Race Volunteers (3)
Volunteers will be needed to help with setup, awards, prizes, food and drinks, clean up and break down of EZ-UPS etc.
